Mullens St. Studio is available for hire between 7am – 12am weekdays and weekends
We do not charge extra for: Weekends, Bank Holidays, Early start times or late finishes.
Leave you to your own devices
We know what it’s like when you hire a studio and you have a studio manager watching over you the whole time. Well, we don’t do that! We let you in and, where we can, we help you with your setup. Then leave you to your own devices.
Mullens St. Studio consists of two spaces, the main shooting area and a makeup room.
Please note: Mullens St. Studio is NOT a sound studio.

We now have new lights in the studio – 4 x Godox QS 400
These heads feature a fast recycle time of 0.3-1.5 sec. with flash durations as short as 1/2000 sec.

Bumping in and bumping out
No more lugging heavy equipment or clothing-racks down the street and up lifts – Mullens St. Studio has side-lane car access for direct unloading though a large 2m sliding door. Which means, the most you will ever have to carry anything is a few metres from the car and in to the studio.
There is ample free, unrestricted parking on all streets surrounding Mullens St Studio. Which means you and your team can focus on creating amazing pictures, instead of worrying about feeding the meter or getting a parking ticket.
We are located 4.5Km from the Sydney’s CBD at: 2/142a Mullens St. Balmain NSW 2041
There are a few ways to get to Balmain from the City. The cheapest and easiest way is via the 442 & 441 bus, 2 stops from the QVB. The quickest way is by car or taxi which takes 6 mins. If you are coming by car there is ample FREE on-street parking.
Need to Hire and photographer?
You can use your own photographer. Or, we can recommend photographers who use our studio on a regularly basis. We can also recommend Models and HMUA’s
The studio can be hired for a minimum of 4 hours during the week, as well on weekends. Simply use the booking form to confirm you booking.
